Here’s how you can catch a Bears in the Backyard book signing event

Local history buffs listen up – the Greeley Creative District is hosting two book signing events for “Bears in the Backyard,” a locally authored story of Greeley’s University District and the special relationship Greeley and the University of Northern Colorado have shared over 130 years. years.

The book, according to a news release, is packed with photos and stories not told anywhere else about this special intersection of the community.

The creative team responsible for researching, writing, and designing the book include Rebecca Safarik, Ron Edgerton, Mary Borg, Deb DeBoutez, Elizabeth Kellums, Jay Trask, the late Peggy Ford Waldon, and Tori Knutsen.  

All proceeds from the sale of the event will benefit the Greeley Creative District, which encompasses the University District, according to the release. 

Book signing events 

November

  • When: 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 20

  • Where: Greeley Farmers’ Market at Zoe’s Event Center, 715 10th St. in Greeley

December

When: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 11

Where: Madison & Main Gallery, 927 16th St. in Greeley
